In 2010, my then brother-in-law-to-be had requested that I design a patch for his helicopter battalion that was currently serving active duty in Afghanistan. I was thrilled to be presented with this opportunity, and after a few transcontinental revisions via email, we had our design. I currently have one of the patches attached to my golf bag. It's a pretty special conversation piece that I never get tired of bringing up.
